Brighton – Meet the contestants

After a very nervous day shooting walking shots in Brighton with some of the filming team and crew – Ryan, Serena, Neil, Lauren and James, I had my final tense night before meeting the other 9 contestants the following day and beginning the very first challenge!!! Arrrgghhhh!!! Is this really happening??!!

The first studio day of filming was, overall, a completely surreal experience. Like starting a new school, meeting all new people, except this time – you’re 38. The first day you’re mic’d up, the first proper day in front of the camera, the first of the challenges – this is where it all begins!

A bit of a hermit by nature, I wasn’t really sure what to expect. How comfortable would I feel on set? How much socialising do I have to do? Was I sure I could do it? I presumed there would be big personalities and excitement but what I wasn’t expecting was just how much I enjoyed it! Sure I was scared, but on that day I met truly fantastic people with talents I could learn from and friendships I could build upon.

All in all, a great start!
